Roads

Tiwi Islands Regional Council manages close to 1000 kilometres of roads including the main roads between the communities on both islands and a number of bush roads into places such as Cape Fourcroy, located at the western tip of Bathurst Island, and out to the far end of Melville Island. Roads are graded at least twice a year but are sometimes closed during heavy monsoon rains from November to March.
