- 5 days per week, up to 5 hours per day
What are we looking for?
- Proven ability to maintain positive working relationships with Council, staff and community members.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with, and continually improve client service delivery Sound oral and written communication skills and ability to write notes of incidents
- Ability to remain calm in dealing with community issues Successful Criminal History Check
- A current NT Driver’s Licence
- Current Ochre Card
What will I be doing?
- Patrol the community as directed by the Community Safety Team Leader
- Diffuse violent situations and protect the vulnerable
- Work in an integrated way, linking with ‘sobering up’ shelters, safe houses and women’s refuges
- Divert intoxicated people away from contact with the criminal justice system
- Provide transport for vulnerable people to safe places; such as home, safe houses, or to medical assistance, and
- Provide advice, information and/or assistance that may reduce risk to individuals.
